TITLE: Quality Enhancement/Staff Development Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Quality Enhancement Director

Status: Non-Exempt Full Time, $12-16 hourly

The Quality Enhancement and Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for performing administrative functions for our Quality Enhancement and Staff Development team. The Coordinator must possess excellent writing skills and experience using databases.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incident Management:

  • IRMA-input data, maintain system, and liaison with OPWDD representative regarding the integrity of the data and system.
  • Maintains agency system for Incident Management Data and runs reports as necessary.
  • Organizes Incident Review Committee meetings, files, and take minutes.
  • Acts as a resource to agency staff in regard to the incident files. Coordinates meetings and is responsible for the meeting meetings.

Quality Improvement:

  • Assists with coordination of and preparation for, outside review bodies such as CQL, NYS Certification, Etc.
  • Coordinates distribution of surveys, collates results and distributes as needed (ex Family Survey)

Staff Development:

  • Sets all new staff up with Therap account.
  • Fills in as an Instructor for Day 1 Orientation.
  • Coordinates logistics for external training requests as needed.
  • Manages the Staff Development database Performs general office functions including technology needs, scheduling, copying and setting up appointments.
  • Works with teammates to create a professional atmosphere, and assist others as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Enhancement Director and the Staff Development Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Secretarial/data processing degree from accredited college or trade school preferred with three years secretarial and/or data entry experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience or knowledge of Internet, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Email, USG preferred. Experience with SMART Board usage. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Must be able to tolerate the stresses associated with multiple, simultaneous demands Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk and frequently required to use hand and fingers Safely operate a motor vehicle and be able to obtain a license therefore Lifting: May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
